FOUR Year 12 music students from Queen Elizabeth’s School in Crediton attended a concert at Powderham Castle recently, as part of their A level studies.
They were able to enjoy the top class performance whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings of the castle.
The Alke String Quartet performed a varied programme of music, including pieces by Haydn and Beethoven, in a free concert especially organised for schools in the area.
The musicians, who also answered questions about their instruments and spoke about pursuing music as a career, were in residence at the Royal College of Music until the summer of this year.
