DESPITE high winds, power failure and torrential rain brought by Storm Eunice, Cheriton Fitzpaine Methodist Church held a coffee morning with books, CD’s and DVD’s for sale.

Hardy buyers came in, dried out and warmed up before making their purchases.

Helpers included Schnare Taylor-Shorland and her 10-year-old daughter, Izzy. Izzy also purchased on her own account, several soft toys for a project at her school.

A grand total of £250 was raised, which will help towards the Methodist Church Roof Repair project and heating in the Church Hall.
