THE annual Soup and Puds Lunch with stalls for Save the Children took place on November 11 in Cheriton Fitzpaine Parish Hall.

Local Save the Children fundraiser Jenny Berg, said: "Huge thanks to all the kitchen staff, waiters and waitresses, including several wonderful youngsters, makers of delicious soup, puds and cakes, stallholders and everyone who attended and who supported the event in any way.

"We were joined this year by Dania Shaw, Community Fundraising Manager for the South West (with Brenda Fowler at the raffle table).

"It was much enjoyed and raised an amazing £1,783.07.

"It will be used to help children in the Israel/Gaza conflict as well as other areas of the world and the UK where the need is great."
