MID Devon District Council’s collection and street scene services have been suspended tomorrow, Friday, February 18, due to the expected severity of Storm Eunice.
MDDC said: “The decision has been made in the interests of the welfare and safety of our staff and the public.”
It adds: “Collections that were due in the Willand, Cullompton and Uffculme area this Friday will instead be collected on Monday, February 21.
“If this change affects you, please leave your waste and recycling at the kerbside on either Sunday night or by 6am on the day of collection.
“Please do not present any waste or recycling for collection on Friday as this may cause hazards to others in the extremely high winds that have been forecast.”
The Council says it will provide regular updates for collections throughout next week so if your waste and/or recycling is due to be collected next week please stay posted for the latest information.
