PLANNING permission is being sought to rebuild a three-storey house off Crediton High Street.
Khalid Khan of KR London Builders in Brentford wants to reinstate The Cott in Stanbury Court, which was demolished in February 2023.
The end-of-terrace house was torn down as it was “uninhabitable”, “dangerous with structural issues throughout” and had a pigeon infestation on the upper floors, planning documents say.
The proposed replacement dwelling would be built with “modern and sustainable techniques” using the same materials.
It would have white rendered walls, timber windows and a tiled roof.
Inside, the layout would be different with a kitchen, living and dining area and toilet downstairs, a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor, and two bedrooms on the second floor.
Mid Devon District Council will decide whether to grant planning permission soon.
