A PARTIAL closure of pavement is in place for a short stretch of Crediton High Street due to an unstable structure.
The High Street remains open to traffic in both directions, not as some reports have stated.

The unstable structure was discovered at the weekend and a fire crew from Danes Castle, Exeter (Blue Watch) attended to make the area safe and tape off the area.
The pavement closure is outside the House of Crediton Pizzeria and the adjoining former Age Concern Crediton charity shop.
Pedestrians are required to cross the road as it is not possible to walk on the pavement outside both of these premises.
