A PONY called Patch took festive cheer to Tedburn St Mary and Pathfinder just before Christmas.
Decorated with antlers, Patch set off with a trailer full of mince pies to take some festive spirit to local residents.
At a time when all community Christmas celebrations had to be cancelled, Patch’s owner Jemima Gladwell, decided to reach out to people who might be feeling lonely or isolated in their homes and take some Christmas cheer in this challenging time.
The idea was instantly taken up by many people generously contributing mince pies for delivery.
Patch, with her helpful elves, delivered mince pies and good cheer to Woodlands Park, Pathfinder Village and some outlying areas, attracting followers as she went, culminating in a socially distanced Christmas Singalong around Tedburn Village on Saturday, December 19.
