ON Monday, July 8 in amazing conditions a large field entered our seniors three ball open competition. 

The overall winners were Vic Marks, Charlie Lane and Robin Drake (Oke/Tiverton) with 88 points. 

Second overall were Pete Murphy, Ian Drayner and Malcolm Hooper (Oke) with 82 points. 

In third were Stuart Wilson, David Stanbury and Bob Peck (Oke) with 81 points.   

The best visitor prize was won by Richard Stevens, Brian Ridgeway and Steve Alford (Fingle Glen) with 81 points and the second-best visitor prize was won by James Launchlan, David Asquith & Ian Thomas (Cricket St Thomas), also with 81 points.  

On Saturday, July 13 again a large field entered an individual stableford competition for the centenary trophy.  

It was won by Brad Ausden with 42 points after count back from, in second Malcolm Hill. 

Third place was taken by Adam Cook with 41 points, Bill Tucker was fourth with 40 points and Matt Scott-Tucker was fifth also with 40 points.  

Lady Captain Sue Williams invited all the ladies to take part in her “Captains Day”. 

The competition of the day was a champagne scramble with some interesting little twists!  

There were also various spot prizes to be won and the day was rounded off with a very tasty buffet provided by Adam Hatton Catering.
