A FORMER nurse who retrained as a florist has taken over Divine Flowers on Crediton High Street.
Gwyneth Emanuel used to work at Redlands GP surgery and learned the art of floristry before the Covid-19 pandemic.
She will rename the shop after her business Bud2Blooms, which was previously based at dog grooming salon Mucky Mutts.
She has taken over from Donna Lamb, who ran Divine Flowers for many years, and is continuing the decades-long tradition of 131 High Street operating as a florist.
Bud2Blooms will offer flowers for funerals, weddings, bouquets, Valentine’s Day and more.
“It’s going to smell like a flower shop,” Ms Emanuel told the Courier.
“It's all very overwhelming and exciting!”
