THERE will be no trains through Crediton for seven days soon due to planned engineering work.

Essential maintenance will be carried out from Saturday, March 8 to Friday, March 14.

Replacement buses are planned between Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple and Exeter St Davids and Okehampton.

The replacement buses will not stop at Yeoford, with separate services between Crediton and Yeoford instead.

You can also use rail tickets on the number 6A bus between Exeter and Okehampton.

The railway line that operates between Exeter and Barnstaple via Crediton is known as the Tarka Line.

The Dartmoor Line, which reopened in 2021, goes between Exeter and Okehampton, also through Crediton.

A second railway station in Okehampton is expected to open next year.
