A NEW project for Mid Devon will be launched on Saturday, March 14 at Tiverton Pannier market from 11am to 2.30pm.
The project, an initiative from 5x30, managed by Westbank Healthy Living Centre, Exminster, is working hard to increase physical activities within the local community.
Emma Higgins, community activator for Mid Devon explained: "We are going to be offering five 30 minute "taster" sessions for the general public to take part in and will include football, basketball, Tai Chi, walking, hula hooping, dance and many other activities throughout the day.
"The sessions are all completely free and anyone from the age of 0 to 100 can take part."
Special guest Andrei Burton, Britain's top mountain bike trail champion will be an entertaining spectator on a specially constructed, eight-foot high demonstration rig.
Emma is also planning on setting up new activity groups in Crediton for all age groups from toddlers upwards and will be able to provide support and information on all aspects of setting up and running a physical activity club.
She currently teaches aerobics and pole dancing for fitness and enjoys taking part in street jazz and ceroc dance classes along with running and cycling.
