ARTIST and owner of Art Plus Frames, Monika Przerwa-Tetmajer, is taking part in this year’s Devon Open Studios with a selection of mainly oil and acrylic paintings on display in the gallery at 18 High Street, Crediton.
Monika’s exhibition paintings are inspired by the richness of life underwater and the natural patterns that form in nature.
Some of her paintings have a surreal dream-like quality and she uses silvering and gilding to bring a richness and luminosity to her work.
Monika has invited fellow artist John Hurford to join her in the exhibition at her gallery.
John, who comes from Chulmleigh, is a self-taught artist who is well-known for his psychedelic style paintings.
He has a number of stunning paintings on display at the gallery.
Devon Open Studio runs until Sunday, September 24.
