They explained that Menopausal Mayhem workshops aim to evaluate and discuss information regarding current thinking on the menopause, giving individuals choice and knowledge.
They said that Menopausal Mayhem is committed to raising awareness, to be a catalyst in bringing about positive change for ones-self and society and to empower women to express with confidence, issues that relate to their health and wellbeing.
They added: “Menopausal Mayhem offers a safe space in which to explore and share experience through the mediums of art, writing, visual arts, movement, discussion and craft-based activities - the core value of our work.
“Being imaginative in an enjoyable light-hearted way, may free our thinking patterns and enable us to be our authentic selves when examining creatively, issues that matter to our lives.”
They said: “Our aim is to provide a space where we can discuss enlightening facts regarding all things menopause, experience the uplifting process of sharing information and also the space to be creative in a variety of forms.
“We are excited to be able to offer the following as by way of an introduction to regular sessions:
• A fun art-based activity ... no art skills are necessary, in fact it’s probably best to leave those behind!
• An introduction and possible discussion to a few interesting and less well-known menopausal
symptoms.
• Techniques that can get us moving and also ones that are calming.”
