CREDITON Area History and Museum Society (CAHMS) has launched a fascinating programme of talks for the coming months.

The series starts with Dr Levi Roach discussing Aethelred the Unready and the South West of England at the Boniface Centre on Monday, September 9 at 7.30pm.

Dr Roach will look at how Aethelred became, “one of medieval England’s most maligned kings” – and how recent research might change our opinion of him.

Admission: £2 for CAHMS Members and £5 for non-Members. Tea, coffee & biscuits included on admission.

The programme of talks continues through to May 2025, includes: October 14: The Song of The Skylark: Lives of Ag Labs in North Devon (Liz Shakespeare)

November 11: Understanding churchyards and burial monuments (Charlotte Coles)
