AS a newcomer to Crediton I feel that the McDonald’s development is completely unnecessary and would be more of a nuisance than an asset to our community.

However I think two issues are worth raising.

First, why is the council looking for a financial incentive?  Surely ongoing sponsorship of a community project, such as the Christmas Lights or the trolley train would be better received. Any money would not then disappear into council funds.

Secondly has McDonald’s done a feasibility study for a 24-hour drive through?

The number of cars travelling through Crediton is negligible late at night and the last trains and buses leave Crediton around midnight.
