WANT a taster of British Sign Language?

Are you free Monday evenings in September and keen to break down the barriers to communication within our Deaf and hearing community?

Deaf Awareness and Introduction to British Sign Language sessions are now bookable.

They will be held at Crediton Congregational Church on Mondays, September 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 7pm to 9pm.

Those who wish to attend are asked to ensure they can attend all four sessions.

More daytime sessions are planned for Fridays, November 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Please text Lesley Rogers to book your place on 07704 367284.  There is limited availability.

Lesley said: “With British Sign Language set to become a GCSE subject by 2025 and it being the most popular night school subject, let’s get Crediton recognised as a Deaf Friendly town.”

The sessions are free but a donation to Crediton British Sign Language (Crediton BSL) would benefit this newly formed group.
