A FAMILY Picnic held at Landscore Primary School in glorious sunshine on the afternoon of Friday, July 7, was a huge success.
The picnic was held to celebrate the King’s Coronation. It was held on a reorganised date after it was cancelled earlier in the year due to bad weather.
Parents and grandparents were invited to have a picnic on the school field and were joined by the children.
Landscore Parent Teacher Association ran a stall selling soft drinks and ice-poles, which were invaluable in the hot sunshine.
Landscore School Choir entertained visitors with a number of songs and children had a great time on the bouncy castles, space hoppers and pogo-sticks.
In the morning a sponsored bounce took place on the bouncy castles, space hoppers and pogo sticks to raise funds for the new decking area which will have a roof and will replace the old decking area.
