TEDBURN History and Information Society held an unveiling ceremony to reveal a board which lists all the occupants of the cemetery at The Little Chapel in Tedburn St Mary.

Painstaking months of investigation work to identify the location of each grave was put in by Karen Wilson, assisted by Malcolm Little, both Society members.

Karen was asked to unveil the cemetery plot positions board by the Chair of Tedburn St Mary Parish Council, Louise Taylor.

She praised Karen and Malcolm for their hard work, for running the Society and care of The Little Chapel.

Families of those in the cemetery were invited to attend as well as local councillors and local residents.

A cream tea was enjoyed by all who attended.

The Society will be holding an Open Day at Tedburn St Mary Village Hall from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, October 20.  Tea and cake will be available as well as displays of local history, photos, etc.  All are invited to attend.
