BANK Holiday Monday (May 30) not only saw the beautiful British sunshine, but also the opening of the new branch surgery of Jonathan Wood Vets at Bernaville Nurseries at Cowley.

Head veterinary nurse Shelly Jefferies explained that the Open Day was a huge success with lots of new and familiar faces popping by to show their support.

She said: “The location at Bernaville is fantastic, with good parking and easy access for our clients in and around Exeter. The clinic will be open seven days a week, Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm, with consultations by appointment.

“Anybody can pop in and collect flea and worming treatments, as well as collecting ordered drugs and food.

“Working patterns for clients is also something we have been looking at carefully, and we feel provision of a weekend consulting service will be something clients will find hugely beneficial.

“Preventative health care is crucial for your pets wellbeing and we will be offering our range of FREE nurse clinics on a Tuesday and Friday, these include adolescent health checks, dental checks, and weight clinics.

“We welcome Rabbit Awareness Week from June 20 to 25, during which we will provide a FREE rabbit health check with one of our nurses, a rabbit information pack and every bunny seen will be entered into our prize draw for a bunny bundle of goodies.

“At a time of change we can also announce we will now be running a late appointment service, on Tuesday evenings at Barnstaple Cross, with appointments until 7pm for our clients who struggle to get to us, due to work commitments.
