MORE than 30 members of the Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface and their guests met at the Elephant on the Green in Crediton for a curry evening on Tuesday, November 28.

After an excellent curry enjoyed by all, President Garry Adams made a presentation to Jo Ward who has been chosen as the Rotary Citizen of the Year for 2023.

Jo was presented with a trophy which he keeps for a year and a framed certificate to keep, along with a cheque for £100 for his chosen charity.  Jo has chosen to give this to the Parish Church Music Endowment Fund.

Jo is a stalwart supporter of the town and is well-known for all the electrical work he does which includes the Christmas decorations and big Christmas tree in the square which was lit up for the Christmas in Crediton event on Saturday, November 25.
