LAPFORD Primary School’s World Book Day this year was bigger and better than ever, with the children dressing up in some fantastic costumes.
Peggy Chalcraft, Jays Class Teacher, said that many children had made their costumes and she congratulated them on their efforts.
"We love to dress up as our favourite characters as it shows everyone which books we like to read."
"Charlie, from Year 5 said: ‘It is a day to celebrate the love of books all around the world’ and Toby, Year 5 said: ‘I love my book as it has a blue cat!’
"Lilly, Year R, said ‘We can share our favourite characters and stories with everyone’ and Maya-Rose, from Year 3, said: ’All staff enjoyed it today too, as we love any excuse to dress up!"
