COPPLESTONE Primary School came together to celebrate its Harvest festival with a number of events that brought students, families, and the community closer.
The school's annual Harvest festivities were filled with gratitude, learning, and giving to those in need.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the Grandparents’ Tea Party, an annual event that allowed children to share tea, cake, and laughter with their grandparents and other special members of their families.
The tea party was more than just a gathering; it became an opportunity for generations to connect through conversation and classic board games.
Following the tea party, the school hosted its annual Harvest Assembly, where each class took the stage to share their learning about the significance of harvest time.
Topics ranged from the history of foodbanks and their importance in supporting local communities to the wonders of autumn and the seasonal changes that make this time of year special.
As part of the event, Copplestone Primary School collected food donations for Crediton Foodbank, with families generously contributing items to support local people.
“This year, our Harvest Assembly focused on the idea of community and the importance of being thankful for what we have,” said Mrs Mackey (Headteacher). “We are incredibly proud of our children for their kindness and understanding of how their actions can make a difference.”
