CREDITON Library will be offering a range of fun activities for children during the half-term holiday.
Pumpkin Rescue -
Pumpkin Carving and Cooking
Recycle Devon will be holding a Pumpkin Carving and Cooking workshop for families on Wednesday, October 25, from 10am – 12 noon.
Pumpkins, carving tools and cooking materials will be provided, and, after the children have carved their pumpkin, the insides will be cooked so children can enjoy a taste of soup, pumpkin seeds or a mini pumpkin muffin.
The event is aimed at children aged eight plus along with an adult.
This event is free but a £5 deposit per child needs to be paid when booking and the money will be returned when the session is attended.

Travel the World – Africa
“Tiny Travels” will be holding an event about Africa for children aged seven and under on Friday, October 27, from 10am to12noon.
It will be an opportunity to learn about the culture and explore different objects through hands-on fun activities.

This event is part of a series, with “Travel the World – Asia” in the spring half-term holiday and “Travel the World – South America” in the summer half-term holiday next year.
Mid Devon District Council is kindly sponsoring these events as part of the Mid Devon Libraries Cultural Festival.
Autumn Trail
There will also be a free Autumn Trail for children to find the pictures hidden around the library. Drop in anytime over the half-term holiday (the library is shut on Wednesday).
