THERE is some fantastic news from Jane Sansom, the Poppy Appeal Organiser and Crediton Branch of the Royal British Legion Treasurer.

Jane explained: “On behalf of the Crediton Branch I would like to thank each and every organisation and individual for their support.

“Together we raised a staggering £15,116.89 to-date, up on last year by near enough £1,000. 

“The stock of handmade poppies (600 approximately) i.e. knitted and crocheted has almost been depleted so I call upon crafters to help replenish the stock.

“Donations can be made at any time and be handed into LeRoy's Funeral Service on the High Street. Please don't feel you have to supply safety pins however, the making will be much appreciated.

“THANK YOU.”
