SANDFORD resident Pamela Tilney Ellis opened her garden at Hope Cottage on Saturday, March 9 and visitors were able to see her beautiful spring flowers in her neat and tidy garden, despite the previous bad weather.

There were masses of daffodils, hyacinths and Christmas roses in abundance. Inside delicious home-made cakes and teas were served and donations given amounted to £240.

This amount has been divided equally between St Swithun’s Church, the Congregational Church and the Oasis Trust in Kenya.

Pamela thanked everyone for attending which luckily was on a fine but cold day and said it was wonderful to see everyone having chats and enjoying a social afternoon.
