CHRISTINE Gregory and helpers organised a superb Craft Fayre at Crediton Methodist Church with a great variety of stalls.

These included lampshades, jewellery, knitted items, felt toys, bags, small furniture items, jams and marmalades, unusual and attractive driftwood items and lots more.

Elizabeth Greenslade also had a stall for her jams and preserves which raised £30 for church funds.

There was a cafe in the Church Hall doing soup lunches and other refreshments.

The Fayre was in aid of funds to support the Methodist Church Youth Worker, and for Edukid, a charity in Uganda and other countries which supports students and children.

During the past year, Edukid has helped more children than ever, taken a record number of people on trips and continued to change lives, which they have been able to do through fundraising, the support of child sponsors, schools, and businesses - a very worthwhile cause.

Approximately £240 was raised and Christine said a big thank you to everyone who helped and went along despite the wet and windy weather.
