CREDITON’S Garden of Remembrance at the Parish Church was Blessed and the first little wooden crosses planted on Saturday morning.
A small group gathered, Preb Matthew Tregenza gave the Blessing and led prayers before everyone dispersed.
Among those at the ceremony were the chairman and Standard Bearer Mike May, secretary Carole Thomas and Jane Sansom Poppy Appeal Organiser for Crediton and Crediton Hamlets.
Among the crosses planted were those for brothers who both died in the First World War, one three days from the start at Mons, the other at Gallipoli a year later.
