THE headteacher of Isca Academy in Exeter has praised students receiving their GCSE results, saying their “future is bright”.
More than 67 per cent of pupils at the Ted Wragg Trust school achieved a grade four or above in both GCSE maths and English this year.
English Baccalaureate subjects have also seen their best results at Isca Academy in over three years.
The secondary school has highlighted several of its students who attained outstanding grades.
Rosie Hughes and Katja Kattnig both achieved grade nine in every single GCSE subject they took and are heading to Exeter College next term.
Elinor Bramen got eight grade-nine GCSEs and will be going to United World College in India to study the International Baccalaureate.
Tom Brooks secured a grade seven or above in seven GCSEs and Ally Mossop-Stocker a grade seven or above in six GCSEs and a level two distinction in hospitality and catering.

The 12 Ted Wragg Trust secondary schools are the Plymouth-based Marine Academy Plymouth, All Saints Academy, Lipson Co-operative Academy and Tor Bridge High; Queen Elizabeth’s School, Crediton; Cranbrook Education Campus; the Exeter-based schools, Isca Academy, St James School, West Exe School and St Luke’s Church of England School; and Honiton Community College and Sidmouth College in East Devon.
