A FARM that sells raw cows’ milk will open its gates to the public on Sunday, June 8.

The open day at West Middlewick Farm, which is located between Nomansland and Witheridge on the B3137, will last from 10am to 3pm.

Attractions will include a chance to see pigs and piglets, donkeys, goats, British Friesian Cross Jersey cows, calves, a giant rabbit and guinea pigs; the opportunity to visit the milking parlour and taste fresh raw milk; the opening of a new tea shop selling cream teas; a barbecue with West Middlewick free range beef burgers and pork hot dogs; willow workshops; a bouncy castle; ice cream and more.

“Come and join us, explore the nature, meet the animals and learn more about where your milk and other food comes from,” farmer John Gibson said.

“This is a great opportunity for all the family to support British farming and local food.

“We’re looking forward to answering your questions about farming and showing you our milk, the animals and the work we do to look after the countryside.”

Entry is £5 per adult. Children go free.
