A FUN-filled afternoon was held to celebrate St Boniface, the Patron Saint of Devon and to help raise funds for the work of Crediton Parish Church.
Crediton Parish Church, the churchyard and the Boniface Centre were busy with visitors during the event.
In the church there was live music from "Etchechuria" (Jack and Beth Robson), together with items for sale on a bric-a-brac stall and in the Church Shop.
In the churchyard, there was a Treasure Trail and many took part in the "Count on Nature" activity.
The count forms part of Love Your Burial Ground Week (a joint initiative promoted by Caring for God’s Acre, A Rocha UK, the Church of England and the Church in Wales).
It aims to engage churches and their local community with nature through counting wildlife in churchyards and to increase people’s interest in their churchyard.
Those taking part record the species of wildlife and plants found and the results are combined and collated with others on the National Biodiversity Network (NBN), a nationwide database of wildlife in the UK.
Devon teas and cream teas were served in the Boniface Centre from 2pm.
All the proceeds were to support the work of Crediton Parish Church.
"Rainbows and Lockdown Hobbies" is the title of the next celebration at Crediton Parish Church, which will run from Friday, July 23 to Sunday, July 25.
