BROTHER and sister, Fraser and Edie Clouston of Searle Street, Crediton, were the winners of Crediton Find the Hidden Christmas Message competition.
Both spent many hours walking around the town finding the letters in shop and business windows before Christmas.
They visited all 73 of the Crediton businesses which took part, writing down the letter obtained at each, all the letters making up the answer: “Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All the Way, Oh, What Fun it is to ride in a One Horse Open Sleigh”.
The competition was organised by Alan Quick, Editor of the Crediton Courier, in association with Crediton Traders and the Crediton Town Council Christmas in Crediton committee.
First prize was a family hamper donated by Morrisons of Crediton, presented in the store just before Christmas.
Second prizewinners were sisters Pauline Arnold and Jane Meincken, from Crediton, who said that they enjoyed taking part in the competition while the windows and town looked so festive.
They received a hamper and a voucher for coffee and cake at Costa in Crediton.
The third prizewinners were Eli and Isobel Waltho of Tuckers Meadow, Crediton, who won a large box of chocolates.
Alan congratulated all of the winners and thanked all of the businesses which took part.
