THERE have been multiple reports of flooding on roads in and around Crediton today, Wednesday, October 16.
Roads have become impassable and at least two cars are currently stuck in floodwater.
Between Crediton and Sandford, rising water has shut Jockey Hill and trapped a car near Sandford Cricket Club. Firefighters are at the scene and have rescued the occupants.
There is a large amount of surface water on the A377 between Crediton and Barnstaple Cross, and also on the road between Newbuildings and Copplestone.
On the southwest edge of Crediton, the Westwood Road crossroads with Westernlea and Salmonhutch are currently underwater.
There are further reports of floods towards Yeoford and another trapped car. The road to Venny Tedburn is also seeing water collect.
At Spreyton, the bottom of Dragdown Hill has become flooded, as has the bottom of Mill Hill south of Witheridge.
