EARLY in June, 27 gardens in and around Chulmleigh were opened to the public for a day, visited by almost 250 people.

Teas and refreshments served in the Town Hall raised slightly more than £500 for the Friends of Chulmleigh Parish Church as well as a cheque for £1,740, proceeds of donations and ticket sales, being sent to North Devon Hospice.
