BOW and District Historical Society members are very much looking forward to welcoming Professor Levi Roach to Bow Village Hall on Monday, February 24.

The topic for the evening will be “Ethelred – the Unready”.

Professor Roach is an associate professor of medieval history at Exeter University.

Ethelred was often considered a brutal king.

In Professor Roach’s book “Ethelred the Unready,” he suggests that, perhaps, King Ethelred was misunderstood.

All are invited to go along for 7.15pm for the 7.30pm start, to hear what Professor Roach has to say.

The talk is open to everyone – free to Society members (£15 annual subscription) or £4 on the night for visitors.

Tea or coffee and biscuits is included.
