MEMBERS of Cheriton Fitzpaine Garden Club made a determined onslaught on Church Cross, a small piece of ground, which gets sadly neglected. 

The resulting foliage and sticks were collected for the Fireworks and Bonfire Club to burn on November 5. 

The next meeting of the Garden Club will be on Thursday, November 16, at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall, when Simon Roper will be giving a talk on "Gardens, Estates and Landscapes - How everyone can help with nature recovery." 

He is part of a group running a large rewilding programme in South Devon. Visitors are welcome.
