D-Day 80th Anniversary Commemorations.

8am - D-Day 80, Crediton Town Square and 8pm at Beacon Park.

7.30pm - Saint Boniface Concert Society concert with pianist Ignas Maknickas, Crediton Parish Church.  Tickets are available from A E Lee Outfitters, High Street, Crediton, on-line from www.ticketsource.co.uk , or on the door, subject to availability. The price is £15 per concert, FREE to full time students under 30.

Saturday 8

10am to 4pm - Crediton Food and Drink Festival, Crediton Town Square, stalls, demonstrations, all welcome.

10am to 11.30am - Zeal Monachorum Village Hall Market extra, with WI plant stall. Information 01363 82571.

10.30am to 7pm - Sampford Courtenay, 475 Prayer Book Rebellion, Tudor Fayre, crafts, produce, street market sales, Morris dancing, bar, refreshments, Mummer’s play, Tudor games and displays, (barbecue and Tudor dancing from 5pm onwards, flower festival, Village Green, Square, Parish Church.

3pm - Duncan Wauchope, organ, Crediton Parish Church.

10am to 3pm - Open Farm Sunday, West Middlewick Farm at Nomansland, Tiverton EX16 8NP, free event, farm tours, nature walk, guided tours, plant seeds, food and drink tasters in the farm shop, cream teas, barbecue, meet the animals, pottery painting, willow crafts.

6pm to 9pm - Crediton Branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding a get-together at Crediton Rugby Club.  All welcome.

10am to 1pm - Farmers’ Market, Crediton Town Square.

10am to 1pm - North Tawton’s Summer Market, North Tawton Rugby Club, local produce, gifts, art, refreshments.

10am - Car Boot Sale, North Tawton Rugby Club, sellers from 9am.

7.30pm - Summer Opera at Downes, Downes House, Crediton, in aid of Exeter Leukaemia Fund and Crediton Parish Church Music Endowment Fund, £20 adults, children u16 free.  Cash or card on the door or through TicketSource. Take your own picnic, rug or chairs and enjoy an evening of operatic extracts by Staircase Opera.  Bar available and Strawberries and Cream on sale.   Free Parking and disabled drop off.

am - The Nello charity bike ride.

1pm to 5.30pm - Open Garden, Frogbury, Coldridge, EX17 6BW, herbaceous borders, this beautiful garden has a collection of elms and orchards as well as several newly planted wildflower beds and four ponds, tours, raffle, refreshments, cash only, £5 for adults, free for children, in aid of Red Cross.

Repair Cafe, Elephant on the Green, Crediton.

10am to 1pm - Busk It!, buskers, local musicians, Crediton High Street, Town Square.

11am to 5pm - An Inspirational Family Day, Sandford Millennium Green, £3 per adult, free for children, talks, workshops, local food, crafting, live music, stalls, etc, proceeds for Sandford Millennium Green.

7.30pm - Zeal Monachorum Village Hall Midsummer fun with Rob Barratt comedian, poet, singer. Doors open 7pm. £10 or book and pay by June 15 only £8. 01363 82606.

Monday 24

7.15pm - for 7.30pm start, Bow and District Historical Society talk Stained Glass by Local Firms by David Cook, to be held in St Bartholomew’s Church, Bow.  Visitors welcome, entry £4, tea/coffee biscuits included, BDHS Membership is £15, free to people under 18.
