EVERYONE is invited to attend a Christmas Concert given by the Crediton Singers at 4pm on Sunday, December 8, in Crediton Methodist Church.
The Singers like to sing a wide variety of songs and that will be reflected in the varied programme.
A spokesperson said: “You will be able to hear and enjoy beautiful pieces from Bob Chilcott and John Rutter, a Zambian folksong and two blessings as well as some traditional and popular Christmas songs and carols.
“The choir will perform one very special song in memory of John Wakefield, a treasured member of the choir who died recently.
“There will be no entrance fee but there will be a collection in aid of Hospiscare, a very worthy charity in much need of funds to support those at the end of their lives and their families.”
The Crediton Singers is a friendly and thriving choir, under the direction of Tim Matthews, who meet every Monday evening at the Elephant on the Green from 7pm to 9pm.
There is always tea and cake.
New members are warmly welcomed, so, if you’re thinking you might like to join them in the New Year, why not go along to the concert to hear what they sing.
