CREDITON Library’s Reminiscence Project, which is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, will host a talk from food historian Dr Paul Cleave on food during World War Two.

The talk, titled “Dried Eggs and Victory Gingerbread - A story of World War II Food” will explore how diets changed during the War, rationing, cookery books and recipes, and will include some examples from Crediton.

As part of the National Lottery’s Open Week, tickets can be purchased for £2, or for National Lottery players, for free.

The talk will take place at Crediton Library on Friday, March 21 at 7pm. Spaces can be booked at the library or by calling 01363 772578.
