ELECTIONS for five parish councillors at Down St Mary and one at Sandford could be on the cards if either or both elections are contested.
If more than one person stands for the seat at Sandford and more than five stand for the five vacant seats at Down St Mary, the poll will take place on Thursday, September 5.
Nominations must be delivered to the Returning Officer on a weekday between 10am-4pm, but no later than 4pm on Thursday, August 8.
Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 6PP, during the times stated above.

Applications to register to vote (if you are not already registered) must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Monday, August 19. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote .
Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and cancellations of proxy votes (if you wish to change to a postal vote) must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Phoenix House, by 5pm on Tuesday, August 20.
Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate (if you do not have photo ID to show at the polling station) or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday, August 28.
