THE children of Copplestone Primary School are the proud winners of the Crediton Library Summer Reading Challenge Schools' trophy for 2024!

Libraries run The Reading Agency Summer Reading Challenge as a fun way to support children’s learning and help to prevent the trend for children’s reading skills to dip over the holidays.

A total of 29 children from the school finished the Summer Reading Challenge at Crediton Library and were presented with their medals and certificates after they read six books each over the summer.

Beth from Crediton Library said that she enjoyed attending Copplestone Primary School’s Celebration Assembly to present the schoolchildren with the trophy.

She said: “With children from 21 local schools and pre-schools taking part this year, Copplestone Primary had the highest percentage of children finishing the challenge.

“Congratulations Copplestone Primary School!”
