CHILDREN from Hayward’s Primary School enjoyed a challenging residential trip to the Dartmeet Centre at Pixie’s Holt, Dartmoor.
The Year 4 children went in two groups, the first group went from Monday to Wednesday, and the second from Wednesday to Friday.
They took part in a variety of team challenges including going through tunnels, a day out at Hound Tor, scrambling over and weasling between rocks. They even endured a small blizzard while they were there.
Teacher Mark Bailey said: "It was nice. It was different - it gave the children independence spending a few nights away from home.
"The children worked well together and supported each other in a variety of challenges during their residential on Dartmoor.
