PUPILS at Chulmleigh College are enjoying Christmas workshops every lunchtime for the last two weeks of term, thanks to the Creative Technologies Department!
Pupils have the opportunity to make Christmas cards and print them to a professional standard – creating unique designs on industry standard software which could easily be mistaken for those bought from a shop. Some have already been posted out to family and friends.
The Festive Food workshops have kindly been sponsored by Tesco Crediton, who have provided all the ingredients for pupils to make and decorate delicious festive biscuits, with pupils learning skills to take home and share with the rest of the family.
In the Product Design Decoration Club pupils have the opportunity to create their own Christmas tree decorations and are being shown how to use leftover materials to create unique decorations.
Pupils have been shown how to use hand tools and the pillar drill to cut out festive shapes and add ribbon and also how to apply colour.
A College spokesman said: “Pupils are very much enjoying these activities, which are not only fun – but are also teaching them valuable practical skills.
“We are incredibly grateful to Tesco of Crediton, who have donated the ingredients enabling anyone to take part in the Festive Food workshops.”
