THIS year’s Crediton Traders’ Hunt the Odd Object competition, run in association with the Crediton Courier, has proved a great success with many entries from individuals and families.

The contest ran from July 21 to September 3.

Forty traders around the town hid an incongruous object in their window, and participants had to find them all to win.

First prize went to Sophie and Tully Theedom of Crediton. The Swain family came second, Eli Waltho and Finlay Moore took home third prize, and prizes were also given to seven runners-up.

Elaine Gregory of The Sandwich Shop, competition co-ordinator, said: “The kids have really enjoyed the competition over the summer holidays.

“I would like to thank all the traders who took part and everyone who entered.”
