THIS year Devon in Sight, Devon’s leading sight loss charity, turns 100 years old!

Since 1925 the charity has been supporting those affected by sight loss, helping them to live life to the full.

To celebrate its centenary year, the charity is hosting “Living Well with Sight Loss Event” all over the county, its next stop in Okehampton on April 10.

This year's Okehampton event will be held at The Ockment Centre.

It is thanks to the incredible interest and success of previous events in the area, that the charity needed a larger space to ensure it can provide vital support to everyone who needs it!

Grahame Flynn, Chief Executive Officer, said: “After seeing how successful our first event of 2025 was, we are even more excited for the next!

“As always, we are eager to meet attendees and connect them with our exhibitors, who will be sharing their advice and knowledge.”

Exhibitors will include Devon Carers, Devon in Sight, Rehabilitation Officers from Devon Sensory Team, Blind Veterans UK, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue, Macular Society, Sight and Sound Technology, and RNIB Technology.

Devon in Sight runs this event in partnership with Sight and Sound Technology, the UK’s leading provider of equipment, software, and services for people who are blind and partially sighted.
