EXETER could be getting more student flats.
An application has been lodged for purpose-built accommodation on a disused car park.
A developer called the Blockworks Group has applied to the city council for permission for the project at Clifton House in Albert Street, near Belmont Park.
If granted, the development would contain six units for students. The new building would fit within the “footprint” of an existing car park, formerly the one for the disused Globe pub.
Planning permission has been granted recently for two new homes on the site, and the new proposal covers the same area.
