IT was a real family affair when the Christmas tree needed decorating at the Redlands Surgery in Crediton.

Some of the staff, partners, along with their children, nephews, nieces and some grandparents were called upon to help decorate the 12ft high tree.
It is located in the foyer of the doctors’ surgery and it was quite a challenge to decorate.

The children coloured-in decorations before they could be hung on the tree.
Fortunately some of the adults were able to lift the children or climb the ladder for the high-up decorating.

Refreshments were provided and members of the Redlands Surgery League of Friends also attended.
The Friends recently donated fleeces for all of the surgery staff to wear.

The Friends also recently donated noise cancelling headsets for the staff who man the telephones.
Money was raised through the sale of knitted items in the surgery and in other ways.
The tree decorating evening was a fun, social event and the tree makes a great welcome to patients visiting the surgery.
