CREDITON Youth Orchestra filled Crediton Parish Church with a joyous evening of orchestral favourites for a recent event.
From the theme from “Dr Who” to “Sing Sing Sing, there was something for everyone, including a musical journey through decades of popular music including “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley, “Made You Look” by Meghan Trainor and “Africa” by Toto.
Alison Golby CYO Director, explained: “The wonderful CYO saxophone ensemble also performed a set including the infamous ‘Pink Panther’, featuring a baritone saxophone provided by Devon and Torbay Music Education Hubs who also give vital funding support for CYO.
“This Autumn Concert provided a welcome ray of sunshine on a rainy day, with the group of more than 50 young local musicians, aged six to 19 years, performing to a very high standard with energy and sense of enjoyment.
“We very much look forward to their next concert in collaboration with the Ad-Hoc Singers in Crediton Parish Church as part of the Christmas Tree Festival on December 7.”
