A CREDITON wheelchair user, a regular attendee at Crediton Hospital, has issued an urgent appeal for debris to be cleared from a section of pavement along Western Road.

The user, who asks not to be named, said that a hedge has been trimmed but the chipped remains mean she cannot safely travel along the pavement to and from the pedestrian crossing.

She explained: “My wheels keep slipping and I am finding it really difficult, it’s quite dangerous.

“Why all the debris was left behind I do not know.

“The hedge was so overgrown recently which made it difficult for me and now this.

“You would think that the hedge owners would be more responsible.”
