During lockdown a massive rainbow was created in the window of the store entrance to thank all key workers.
The store also asked local schools at Newton St Cyres, Bow, Landscore, Copplestone and Sandford to ask key workers’ children attending the schools to create rainbows to help brighten up the display.
Local children that were at home, and any children entering the store, could pick up a template to take home.
The store said the response was overwhelming.
The rainbows filled the front window and have now spilled over into other windows.
A spokesperson for the store said: "Tesco Crediton does a lot for the local community and often has donations points for customers to help out.
"The food bank donation point has been overflowing thanks to the support of local customers in this unstable time.
"At Easter we gave a donation of Easter Eggs to give the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital staff to thank them for all the hard work.
“We gave more than 50 eggs from the store and 200 eggs donated by customers.
"So far we have raised more than £1,000 for charity and we still going with the help of the rainbow display.
"During pandemic, the staff have work harder than ever, working night shifts to help keep the shelves full in the day for customers. Most staff have worked extra shifts and longer days.
"We would like to thank all of our customers for their understanding and co-operation in these hard times."
The money raised for charity went to Crediton Foodbank, Paignton Zoo and homeless shelters in Devon.
If anyone would like to send in a picture of a rainbow to add to the display, these can be dropped into the store where a collection box can be found at the main entrance. Alternatively post them to Tesco superstore Crediton, Wellparks, Crediton, EX17 3PH.
Unfortunately the pictures cannot be returned after the display is finished.
