FRED Oliver, President of Crediton Boniface Rotary, presented a cheque for £1,000 to Sallie Cartlidge from Crediton and District Playscheme for Children With Special Needs on Tuesday, September 24.

The Playscheme organises outings for children with additional needs in the summer holidays and at Christmas.

These provide fun, educational and social bonding opportunities to children from Crediton and the surrounding area, at the same time providing respite for their families.

Fred said that Crediton Boniface Rotary was pleased to be able to support the Playscheme in the incredible work that the team of volunteers do in providing such joy for the children they support.

The monies came from the entry fees and raffle proceeds raised from the Industrial Bowls Competition, which was run in the first two weeks of August.

The competition is organised by Crediton Boniface Rotary with the support of Crediton Bowls Club.
